Education. Not Indoctrination.

The same schools that once taught our children the knowledge, skills, culture, and traditions necessary to maintain and enhance our nation are now controlled by social and cultural Marxists. The educational system has become a tool to indoctrinate our children against the very people who created it. Also shocking, while per student spending has more than doubled since the 1960’s, standardized tests scores have continually fallen. As the American Third Position firmly believes in freedom, we recognize that every community has an inalienable right to determine the educational program for their children. We support the abolishment of the invasive, costly, and ineffectual Department of Education.

We support measures to restore our school system to its first rate status. Teachers should emphasize traditional mathematics and literacy skills which have practical application to everyday life. We encourage a full curriculum of American History be taught. This will instill in our young people knowledge of and pride in the history, cultures and heritage of the pioneers of the U.S., and not the poisonous politically correct nonsense being fed to our children today. Organized classrooms settings and well-disciplined learning environments should become the norm once again. We also support greater opportunities for home-schooling arrangements.

We strongly support the states and their school districts right to reclaim responsibility for educating their youth. Since the Department of Education was formed, the quality of American education has gone from 4th in the world to 34th. This is largely due to federal mandates which have allowed government bureaucrats to hijack the classroom from district supervisors and classroom teachers. Most of the government programs have been social engineering experiments, which have lessened the quality of education and indoctrinated our youth away from traditional American values.

Here we have yet another reason why school at home systems are becoming more popular. It's really tragic how our very schools are deteriorating like this.

  2. phdsmz says:

Less that 3% of the population is not "very popular."

Thus is the tragedy of the current educational system. If this doesn't change soon, I'm not sure what to do with the nice plan I recently got from philippine prudential.
